Toyota reveals hydrogen combustion prototype car

Toyota has revealed it is developing a new car powered by a hydrogen combustion engine in a move that is says highlights its “multi-technology approach to zero carbon”.

Detailing some of the key merits of hydrogen combustion, Toyota set out how it can leverage existing internal combustion engine technologies, has quick refuelling times and offers a clear reduction in the use and need for limited-supply resources such as lithium and nickel.
